Bookcase “Helena” – BONTEMPI

The Helena bookcase – BONTEMPI is a domestic microarchitecture: an object that divides, connects, narrates. Its oval, fluid and organic base breaks the rigidity of the traditional concept of a bookcase, introducing a new formal and spatial interpretation.

The staggered supporting columns, arranged in an elegant interplay of solids and voids between front and back, create glimpses, visual filters, architectural backdrops. Some objects reveal themselves, others conceal themselves, not by chance, but by design choice. The gaze is guided through a variable geometry that changes with the position of the observer and with the light dancing between the shelves.

Ideal as a sculptural divider in the free-standing version or as a functional element that defines space in the wall-mounted version.

The bookcase is prepared for wall fixing; alternatively, it is possible to order additional counterweights to use it in a bilateral manner as a self-supporting element.
