Clock “Capri” – PROGETTI

Designed by Alberto Sala, Capri was created as a tribute to one of Italy’s most iconic and desirable destinations. The project interprets the spirit of the island through a cuckoo clock featuring bright colors and clean lines, instantly evoking holidays, relaxation, and natural beauty.

The shape recalls seaside bathing cabins, reinterpreted with a contemporary language and enriched by the vivid colors of island signal lighthouses—strong and symbolic visual elements that give the clock a sunny and dynamic personality. Despite its formal simplicity, Capri succeeds in condensing emotions, memories, and sensations linked to the sea and light.

The value of the project is also recognized internationally: Capri is part of the permanent exhibition at the Deutsches Uhrenmuseum, the historic German Clock Museum, renowned for its extensive collection of clocks and cuckoo clocks from around the world.

Made of wood, the clock is equipped with a precise and reliable battery-powered quartz movement. A photosensitive sensor automatically disables the chime in the absence of light, ensuring discreet and comfortable use at any time of day.

Capri is a design object that unites form, color, and memory, transforming time into a visual and emotional experience.
