Clock “Freebird” – PROGETTI

Designed by Gerardo Marì, Freebird Classico represents the ironic evolution of the traditional cuckoo clock, while not actually being one. The project revolves around a little bird with a friendly and engaging design, abandoning rigidity to tell time through light and reassuring gestures.

In this version, the bird expresses its most poetic and playful side, taking on dynamic yet balanced positions: it can sit on the pendulum like on a swing or hang from it like a vine, evoking a delicate and almost fairytale-like imagery, far from excessive provocation.

The house, made of painted wood with non-toxic coatings, is available in five base colors – white, black, light blue, blue, and red. The dials and hands are designed to create harmonious color combinations, enhancing the overall composition with visual balance. The pendulum, always black, may vary in shape, becoming an integral part of the aesthetic narrative.

The high-quality German-made battery-powered quartz movement ensures precision and reliability over time, combining technical content with decorative value.
