The Soma dining table by WEWOOD, designed by Christian Haas in 2018, originates from the meeting of generous proportions, soft forms and particular attention to the craftsmanship of wood.

Its curved silhouette and delicately rounded edges give the table a welcoming and refined character, while the available sizes make it suitable for both more intimate dining rooms and larger spaces dedicated to conviviality.

Soma therefore interprets the dining table through a restrained language in which form, material and construction are developed in perfect balance.

Curved Lines and Soft Edges

One of Soma’s most recognizable features is its curved profile.

The top avoids excessively rigid geometry and is defined by soft, rounded edges designed not only to visually lighten the table, but also to provide a pleasant tactile experience.

This continuity of surfaces contributes to creating a warm and inviting presence, making Soma particularly suitable for interiors dedicated to sharing and conviviality.

Joinery as a Distinctive Design Element

Soma’s true design identity emerges in the particular attention given to its wooden joints.

The joints are integrated into the structure with great precision and become a visible part of the design, enhancing the relationship between construction technique and aesthetics.

The craftsmanship is refined without becoming excessively decorative: every detail emphasizes the artisanal quality of the table while preserving the simplicity of the overall composition.

A Balance Between Solidity and Delicacy

Soma conveys a sense of generosity through its proportions, yet avoids appearing visually heavy.

The combination of clean lines, curves and discreet construction details allows the structure to maintain an elegant and light character.

This balance enables the table to fit easily into different settings, from contemporary living spaces to warmer, more material-focused interiors.

Designed for Conviviality

The proportions of the top are designed to create a generous and welcoming surface, ideal for convivial moments, everyday dining and special occasions.

Soma is available in three sizes:

  • 180 × 100 cm
  • 240 × 110 cm
  • 300 × 120 cm

The different configurations make it possible to select the format best suited to the size of the dining room and the number of people to be accommodated.

A Design Made to Last

The simplicity of the forms and the attention to construction give Soma a timeless character.

Its identity does not depend on temporary decorative elements, but is built through proportion, material and artisanal precision.

The result is a piece capable of maintaining a refined presence over time, becoming the focal point of the dining area without visually dominating the room.
