“Meio Black/Natural” Rug – KARPETA

The Meio rug belongs to the Papel collection, a series characterised by the use of paper yarn hand-woven on a loom.
This natural and sustainable material offers a unique tactile quality and a strong graphic impact, creating clean, orderly and surprisingly soft surfaces while maintaining the robustness typical of the fibre.

The project is based on the idea of transforming simple shapes through complex systems, using colour and the decomposition of elements to build dynamic patterns.
Blocks, lines and stripes are repeated in an apparently regular way, while the main colour is paired with secondary tones that generate optical contrasts designed to create movement.

The rhythm of the strokes, determined by the loom, gives life to a vibrant interplay of multicoloured lines that overlap in slightly offset, three-dimensional patterns.
The result is a rug that combines compositional balance with visual vibrancy, while maintaining a neutral and harmonious base.

Hand-woven on a loom, Meio is made of 85% paper yarn and 15% cotton, materials that ensure lightness, stability and a distinctive aesthetic.
Available in two standard sizes, it can be fully customised in terms of dimensions, shape and colour.
