The Ardesia rug by Karpeta is inspired by the subtle stratifications of the homonymous stone, translated into a visual language that combines irregularity, harmony and material richness. The design unfolds through imperfect yet balanced lines, directly recalling the geological processes that shape rock over time.
The palette, composed of blacks, anthracite and deep tones, emphasizes the sensorial dimension of the rug, highlighting the material contrast between the two textures that define its surface. The overall effect is intense yet restrained, conveying authenticity and a sense of refined simplicity.
Produced using a tufted technique, Ardesia combines 90% New Zealand wool and 10% cotton, materials selected to ensure softness, structure and chromatic depth. The two available sizes allow flexible design integration, while the colour variants further expand the rug’s aesthetic possibilities.
