Rug “Checkers” – KARPETA

The Checkers rug translates the imagery of chess into a textile language, transforming the rug’s surface into a narrative space composed of symbols and geometries. The lines evoke the positioning of armies, while the checkerboard represents the field of action, a metaphor for existence and its strategic movements.

Handloom craftsmanship gives the rug a compact structure and defined material presence, enhanced by the use of New Zealand wool (90%) combined with cotton (10%), materials that ensure durability, softness and excellent chromatic performance. The Caramel and Grey bicolour palette emphasizes the graphic construction of the design, making the rug both balanced and iconic.

The two available sizes meet the most common design needs, while the possibility of customizing dimensions, shape and colour allows Checkers to adapt to bespoke projects, expanding its aesthetic and functional versatility.

The model also meets the technical and quality requirements of major international standards, passing nitrogen-free tests according to REACH SVHC criteria and complying with flammability standards CAN/CGSB-4.2 NO 27.6, CAN/CGSB-4.155-M88 and 16 CFR 1631.
