Clock “Crooked” – PROGETTI

Designed by Alberto Sala, Crooked is a cuckoo clock that deliberately breaks the rules of symmetry, expressing its identity through skewed lines, irregular volumes, and never-aligned angles. The “house” appears as a dynamic composition of tilted shapes, where each element contributes to creating a surprising and original aesthetic.

From roof to base, the project is defined by fragmented and discontinuous volumes, enhanced by vividly and expertly matched colors that reflect the designer’s creative sensibility. Within this irregular context, the round pendulum stands as the only reference to formal tradition: a familiar shape that emerges almost unnaturally from the slanted base, further emphasizing the overall asymmetry.

Made of painted wood with non-toxic coatings, Crooked is available in four color versions, each with its own visual identity: one featuring orange and red tones, one in green and blue, and two variants incorporating a wooden element—one combined with light blue tones and light wood, the other with red and green tones paired with dark wood.

The battery-powered quartz movement ensures precision and reliability, while the photosensitive sensor automatically stops the chime in the absence of light, guaranteeing discreet and functional use.
