Designed by Alberto Sala, q01 was created to revise the classic cuckoo house, removing any superfluous elements. The project features sharp lines and clean shapes, giving the clock a contemporary and rigorous character.
A distinctive design element is the asymmetric roof, an architectural detail that breaks traditional symmetry and adds dynamism. The only decorative element is intentionally playful: the inscription “qoo ckooo!!”, placed between the bird and the hands, playfully echoing the cuckoo’s call, adding personality without weighing down the design.
The battery-powered quartz movement ensures precision and reliability. The clock also features a photosensitive sensor, which automatically stops the chime in the absence of light, providing discreet and comfortable use.
q01 is a designer cuckoo that combines minimalism, irony, and functionality, ideal for those seeking a contemporary clock that stands out with subtlety.
