Cuckoo Clock “TuTu” – PROGETTI

Designed by Mattia Cimadoro, TuTu draws inspiration from a simple and universal childhood game: the string telephone made of two cans connected by a wire. From this memory comes an original design idea that redefines the traditional concept of the cuckoo clock.

TuTu is in fact the first cuckoo clock to separate the bird from the movement by more than two metres, connecting them through an electric cable. This technical solution becomes the core creative element of the project. Along the cable, two Plexiglas cylinders are inserted, allowing for endless spatial compositions.

The two cubes can be positioned at different heights, installed on separate walls or suspended from the ceiling, offering total compositional freedom and transforming the clock into a true environmental installation.

The structure is made of painted wood with non-toxic finishes, while the battery-powered movement features a photosensitive sensor that automatically stops the cuckoo sound in the absence of light. An integrated control panel also allows sound intensity adjustment or complete silencing, ensuring maximum comfort and customization.

TuTu is a clock that blends memory, design and experimentation, turning time into a unique visual and narrative experience.
