Uaigong is a cuckoo clock with strong symbolic and cultural value, combining Eastern tradition and Italian design in an elegant and contemporary synthesis.
For any information, please contact customer service.
Designed by Davide Tonizzo, Uaigong was created with the aim of building a cultural bridge between China and Italy, two countries sharing a deep artisanal tradition. The name comes from the Mandarin word Wàigong, meaning maternal grandfather, and becomes the narrative core of the entire project.
This cuckoo clock reinterprets the traditional grandfather clock in a contemporary way, reducing its form to an essential and rigorous volume. Cultural cross-pollination is evident in the red and gold colors, symbols of Chinese tradition, combined with the formal purity of contemporary Italian design.
The cuckoo battery-powered movement is equipped with a photosensitive sensor that automatically stops the sound in the absence of light. An integrated control panel allows sound intensity adjustment or complete silencing, ensuring comfortable and customizable use.
Uaigong transforms time into a cultural experience, uniting conceptual design, function, and storytelling.
