Designer

Gonçalo Campos is a Portuguese product designer who graduated in Product Design in 2008.

After completing his studies, he joined Fabrica, Benetton’s communication research center, an experience that allowed him to collaborate with companies such as Secondome, Seletti and Zanotta. In 2009, he worked at Sam Baron’s studio before developing his own design research.

His approach focuses on finding simple and intelligent solutions, developed through a conscious use of materials and production processes. His projects are often developed by starting with the internal structure and function of an object and then arriving at its external form.

Metis fully represents this philosophy: an apparently essential desk that conceals an articulated system of functions and storage spaces within its structure.
