Lesbo is one of the progetti most recognizable in the history of Artemide and fully represents the Italian design language of the late 1960s and 1970s.
Its soft, organic shape, similar to a mushroom, is defined by a large hand-blown glass diffuser hand-blown glass.
The unique gradation of the glass, which gradually transitions from transparent to shaded white, allows the light source to be hidden and the light to be directed primarily upward.
The result is a soft, atmospheric illumination, highlighting the variations in transparency, thickness, and texture of the glass.
Lesbo is both a lamp and a decorative object, a sculptural presence that still retains an extremely contemporary character today.
