The Col Tempo rug, designed by Giulia Fauro Alessi, originates from the observation of the slow geological and natural processes that shape the landscape over time. The action of wind, water and sedimentation is translated into a monochromatic textile composition, where the rhythm of surfaces visually narrates the silent strength of time.
The structure alternates material reliefs and more even areas, generating a mutable texture that evolves with light and the observer’s viewpoint. The overall result is harmonious, essential and deep, expressing a design language that values the naturalness of gesture and the purity of form.
Crafted using the tufted technique, Col Tempo combines New Zealand wool (90%) with cotton (10%), materials selected to achieve a soft, durable surface rich in tactile variations. Available in three colour variants — Beige, Grey and Earth — it interprets warm, natural tones, reinforcing the conceptual connection with the mineral and organic world.
The two standard sizes can be further adapted thanks to the possibility of customizing dimensions, shape and colour, expanding design opportunities and ensuring seamless integration into different spaces.
