The Overshadow – Harsh rug develops a concept based on the duality between surface and inner structure. A sharp graphic line crosses the pile and physically interrupts it, revealing the underlying weave in a contrasting colour. This decisive gesture creates a visual rhythm that places light and shadow in dialogue, defining an elegant and contemporary composition.
Further refinement is introduced by the perimeter fringes, which appear to drift away from the shadow cast on the surface, adding a chromatic accent that enriches the rug’s visual perception. The balance between material depth and graphic linearity results in an object full of tension and harmony.
Hand-loomed using selected materials, the rug is made of 50% New Zealand wool, 30% Tencel and 20% cotton, a blend that ensures softness, durability and chromatic brilliance. The Grigio Duro colourway interprets the play of light and shadow with a strong character, highlighting the different textures.
Available sizes — 170 × 240 cm and 200 × 300 cm — can be further adapted thanks to the possibility of customising dimensions, shape and colour, offering wide design flexibility.
The model complies with REACH SVHC requirements regarding the absence of nitrogen and meets flammability standards CAN/CGSB-4.2 NO 27.6, CAN/CGSB-4.155-M88 and 16 CFR 1631.
